GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Drivers in Goodlettsville will need to make a slight detour if they need to use East Cedar Street at night for the next week.
As part of its ongoing project to widen Interstate 65, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will close the portion of Cedar Street underneath the interstate while construction crews work on the bridge.
The closures will occur nightly at 8 p.m. and continue through 5 a.m. until July 7, according to TDOT.

Drivers who regularly use the road will need to detour onto Long Hollow Pike while Cedar is closed. Long Hollow Pike and US-31W will also have alternating lane closures for bridge work between mile markers 95 and 99, per TDOT. Those closures will span form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Additionally, there will be various lane closures on I-65 in both directions for paving and construction work between MM 95-99. Intermittent ramp closures at SR 174 (Long Hollow Pike) and US 31W (SR 41) will also take place daily, though one lane will remain open in both directions between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
