Pleasant View Fire (Station 5) Marks 25 Years with Open House/Fundraiser

PLEASANT VIEW, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department (PVVFD) is celebrating 55 years of service to Cheatham County, Robertson County, Pleasant View, and Coopertown—growth that has included adding stations to improve service, reduce response times, and lower the insurance rating.

This year, PVVFD Station 5 (3752 Old Coopertown Rd.) marks its 25th anniversary. The firehouse has long served as a community hub, hosting meetings, training events, Santa breakfasts, Touch-A-Trucks, birthday parties, and more.

PVVFD invites the community to a Station 5 open house and fundraiser on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Guests can dine on site or take meals to go. On the menu: smoked bologna (hot and regular) prepared by life member Bryan Leech, and the department’s “Barrel Festival” Hot Chicken—from no-heat to blaze-level. Kona Ice will be on site as a cool follow-up to the “firefighting foods.” Firehouse 5 will be open for show-and-tells, apparatus viewing, and other activities, and there may be PVVFD Firehouse 5 anniversary items for sale.

Proceeds (after food costs) will address maintenance needs at Station 5. The meeting room has water damage to windows, baseboard, and trim—work planned as a winter project and likely to include replacing windows, sheetrock, baseboards, and paint. PVVFD notes this effort is about investing back into a facility that has supported others for 25 years.
