Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-40 in Hermitage

Description

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A pedestrian is dead following a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 40 near the Davidson/Wilson County line overnight.

According to Metro Police, around 1 a.m. Tuesday, the person was walking along the interstate when she was struck by a gray vehicle that fled.

The pedestrian was then struck by a second vehicle which remained at the scene to speak with law enforcement.

As of 4 a.m. Tuesday, the interstate remained closed as the investigation continues.
