LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — La Vergne could soon get a new mixed-use retail development.
The 77-acre development dubbed "Twinning Station" would host more than 175,000 square feet of retail space. La Vergne's mayor, Jason Cole, said the site would be a destination for all Middle Tennessee residents to live, work and play.
Dining, shopping and entertainment would come to the development, which would also be designed to be a walkable community. Cole added that the first-of-its-kind $243 million development would sit at the nexus of La Vergne, Nolensville and Cane Ridge.
Cole told News 2 that the development would be functional and include free space for community members to gather and enjoy life.
The Planning Commission provided a favorable recommendation to the Board of Mayor and aldermen on April 29 and will go for approval at the end of May, per Cole.
