COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A large law enforcement presence was spotted in a Columbia neighborhood Saturday after a shooting reportedly left several people injured.

The Columbia Police Department announced shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 that officers are at the scene of a shooting incident with "multiple gunshot victims" on Somerset Lane.

According to authorities, one person is in custody, so there is no active threat to the community at this time.

Officials warned residents that investigators will at the scene for a "lengthy time" to process the evidence. Community members are asked to avoid the area until the scene clears.
