NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A convicted felon is behind bars after police said detectives found him driving a stolen vehicle with a loaded handgun inside.
With help from the MNPD Aviation Unit, detectives were able to observe a 2016 Volvo XC-90 as it parked on 31st Avenue North.
According to Metro police, the vehicle was reported stolen earlier this month and had a temporary tag that did not match the Volvo.
The driver of the Volvo—identified as 27-year-old Kejarius Dejuan Lawrence—was taken into custody and allegedly admitted that he knew the vehicle was stolen when he bought it over the weekend.

Inside the vehicle, detectives recovered a loaded Glock handgun from the driver's side floorboard.
