NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the throat in East Nashville Wednesday night.
Offices were called to the 600 block of South 7th Street in the James A. Cayce Homes just after 11 p.m.
According to Metro police, the man was shot by a woman during a "domestic incident." The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
The woman was not located at the shooting scene. Domestic violence detectives are working to locate her. No additional information was immediately released.
A teenage girl was shot in the hand by her father during an altercation in the same neighborhood Monday evening. A man was shot in the leg also on South 7th Street during a fight Tuesday night.
