SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  Where the Hell is Anna, a SAG indie horror/comedy/thriller,  has just wrapped filming in Springfield, Tennessee. The feature follows a young woman on a twisted mission to rescue her best friend from a cult, blending dark humor, suspense, and heart in equal measure. At its core, the story explores loneliness, friendship, female resilience, and the universal search for belonging and community.

Filmed over ten fast-paced days at the magical gem Kelly’s Jubilee, a one-of-a-kind Airbnb retreat in Springfield, the cast and crew brought this project to life with local flair and indie spirit. “Kelly’s Jubilee feels like Springfield’s best-kept secret,” says executive producer and actor Kenzie Wynne. “It gave the perfect enchanted backdrop to our story, and we already can’t wait to return, this time just to relax!”

Where the Hell is Anna was written, directed, and produced by Taylor Dupuis, who also stars in the film. She has crafted something brilliant that has all the makings of an instant cult classic, pun intended. With the help of Stormlight Pictures, a Nashville-based production company that has produced many notable projects, including Music City Mistletoe and A Week Away, Taylor and her own production company, Aradia Pictures, managed to bring together one of the most talented casts and crews of creatives, artists, and actors in all of Nashville. It’s been a labor of love, passion, and some sweat and tears, though the tears have been all on camera.

The filmmakers are excited to shine a light on Springfield’s creative potential and look forward to sharing Where the Hell is Anna with the world soon. For more behind-the-scenes content, you can follow the film’s process to release on Instagram at @wthia_movie.

We’ve already heard from a few of you who took part in the film — whether as extras, background actors, or behind the scenes. If you were involved and have photos or a story to share, feel free to post them in the comments below or on our Facebook page — assuming you’re clear to do so under any non-disclosure agreement the production may have asked you to sign. If you’re unsure, you may want to check with the filmmakers before posting anything.
