NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A large police presence was seen in Antioch early Monday morning after a man fled from a traffic stop.
According to Metro Police, officers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle around 2 a.m. in the Old Hickory area. The driver allegedly refused to stop for officers and led a Metro helicopter approximately 30 miles away as the vehicle repeatedly entered and exited the interstate.
Nearly 40 minutes later, the vehicle stopped near the Old Hickory Boulevard overpass in Antioch.
A man exited the car and fled in the direction of the October Woods development, officials said. He was reportedly wearing a white shirt with dark pants.
Officers searched the area, but it is not known if the driver was found.
