MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Back-to-school bashes are in full swing, and Murfreesboro is bringing back their back-school-event. After a four-year hiatus, National Night Out is officially returning, and it will be hosted by the Murfreesboro Police Department.
National Night Out will be held at Oaklands Park, located at 427 Roberts Street. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., families and everyone in the community are invited to come out and enjoy food, music and so much more.
The event will also feature a Touch-A-Truck event for kids with the goal of strengthening the bond between police officers and the community. Murfreesboro leaders said they are excited to return this police-community partnership back to their area and it's a great opportunity for residents to meet the officers who serve their neighborhoods.
Murfreesboro's National Night Out will take place on Aug. 5.
