GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Fans of one of Earth's pollinators will have a chance to celebrate it this Saturday at the Gallatin Farmers Market.
This weekend, the Gallatin Farmers Market will celebrate the honey bee at Bee Day.
Fans and farmers market friends will be able to learn all about bees — from pollination to honey production. Attendees will be able to witness live beekeeping demonstrations from the Sumner County Beekeepers Association, a special bee-themed story time from the Gallatin Public Library of Sumner County, and a black jar honey contest for award-winning honey.
Of course, there will also be plenty of honey available for tasting for those who attend.
The market officially opens at 9 a.m. at its 160 W Franklin Street location in Gallatin.
