Description
WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Two people wanted in connection with a vehicular homicide case were taken into custody Saturday after Wilson County authorities responded to a report of reckless driving.
The Wilson County Sheriff's Office said its Communications Center got a call on Saturday, July 26 about a reckless motorist who ran off the road but was still driving with two flat tires. While canvassing the neighborhood, a deputy spotted the vehicle, which was reportedly hidden and covered at a home.
With some help from another deputy and a corporal, a brief investigation led to the identification of the driver, who had numerous active warrants stemming from an April vehicular homicide case in Nashville, according to officials.
In addition, law enforcement said they found a female inside the residence who was wanted on the same charges, as well as warrants out of Sumner County.
"We would like to thank these Deputies for their keen observation and persistence, as well as the community members who spoke up. Your willingness to report suspicious activity played a vital role in helping get two dangerous individuals off the streets," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook. "If you see something, don’t hesitate to say something."
No additional details have been released about this incident, including the identities of the two people who were arrested.
