1st Annual Wix 5K Run To Support Search for Jennifer and Adrianna

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – It’s a case that has haunted Robertson County for more than two decades. In March of 2004, 21-year-old Jennifer Wix and her 2-year-old daughter Adrianna vanished without a trace. Despite multiple investigations, community efforts, and even a formal homicide classification by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in 2013, the mother and daughter have never been found. Their disappearance remains one of the most heartbreaking and persistent unsolved cases in the region. MORE BACK STORY

Now, the community is coming together to honor their memory and support the ongoing fight for answers. On Saturday, August 16, 2025, downtown Springfield will host the first annual Wix Warrior 5K — a family-friendly event designed to raise funds for the Wix Family Legal Fund and keep Jennifer and Adrianna’s case in the public eye.

EVENT DETAILS:

• Adrianna’s Dash (1-mile kids race, ages 17 & under): Starts at 7:30 AM on Main Street

• Wix Warrior 5K (open to all ages): Begins at 8:00 AM

  • Starting point: Wix Memorial Mural (next to Hidden Heroes & Willie Mae’s BBQ)

  • Ending point: Robertson County Courthouse stairs, symbolizing the family’s continued pursuit of justice

• Official bib-timed race with both in-person and virtual participation options

• 100% of proceeds benefit the Wix Family Legal Fund

• Volunteers are needed to help with the event

Jennifer and Adrianna remain missing. Although there has been an admission of the disposal of their remains, they have never been located. This event offers an opportunity for the community to come together in hope, remembrance, and determination.
