NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — If you're looking to attend Tennessee Titans games this season, one way you could get there is by the Titans Express.
The Titans and WeGo Public Transit announced the return of the Titans Express, a special event train for spectators to attend games in Nissan Stadium.
According to WeGo, the train will operate for all preseason and regular season home games, starting with the Aug. 22 preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Service for the Titans Express begins in Lebanon with stops at the Hamilton Springs and Martha stations, as well as Mt. Juliet, Hermitage, and Donelson before arriving in downtown Nashville approximately one hour before kickoff.
The return train to Lebanon will then leave the Riverfront Station one hour after the game ends, according to WeGo.
Tickets for the Titans Express will be $15 for round-trip, plus a $2 processing fee. Children 4 and younger will not need a ticket to board; however, they are required to sit in a parent's lap on the train. Tickets must be purchased online at TicketsNashville.com at least one hour in advance of the train departing, according to WeGo.
Tickets will not be available for purchase on game days, and weekday WeGo Star tickets and passes will not be valid on the Titans Express.
Parking is free at all outlying stations, and WeGo said passengers may tailgate at the outlying train stations prior to the game as well as on the train. Additionally, they may bring small coolers onboard and leave them on the train upon arrival at Riverfront Station. However, WeGo stressed it and train staff are not responsible for any items left on the train.
For the Aug. 22 game, WeGo said riders are asked not to bring any items—coolers, backpacks or large items—to leave on the trains, as they will also be used for commuter service that day.
