LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new city ordinance could dim the lights at a iconic restaurant in Wilson County.
The Snow White Drive In on West Main Street in Lebanon has been in operation since 1953 with its now vintage neon signs lighting up the length of the building.
The restaurant posted on social media that the ordinance passed on March 4 will no longer permit them to "display our nostalgic 1950s diner neon signs in our windows."

City Councilman Joey Carmack posted he believed the ordinance would only impact LED lights in the city.
As I read it, the ordinance that was passed applied to the LED lights that were being put up in many liquor stores, vape stores, etc., and looked like runways for a plane to land. I never thought that this would impact Snow White, and I assure you that I have contacted city staff to rectify this issue.

Snow White Drive In invites anyone to stop by for photos of the iconic signage until they go out at the close of business on Saturday, Aug. 16.
The restaurant is a popular meet up spot for classic car enthusiasts and motorcyclists. It is known for its meat-and-three plates, burgers and soft-serve ice cream.
