NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Neighbors in the Percy Priest Lake community are concerned about a potential development near Bell Road, saying the area doesn't have the infrastructure to support a slew of new homes.
That area of Nashville is growing, and it's growing fast, but some people think too fast.
Tuesday night, Metro Councilman Russ Bradford is holding a community meeting with District 13 residents to talk about a zoning change that would be required for the new development.
Bradford says the developer wants to build 64 new homes along Bell Road.
However, residents like Michele Vetter say they already have traffic issues in that area and this will only enhance it.
She told News 2 she and her neighbors want to keep the spacious nature of their community.
"Why is there this constant push to amend and change zoning that is put in place to protect PUDs, to go along with our codes, covenants, and restrictions, to increase our density out here?" she asked
Bradford says the number of houses built could change based on community input or land constraints.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
