MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Mt. Juliet girl is celebrating a huge milestone in her cancer journey.
After three long years of chemotherapy and hospital visits, Vivian Oettel rang the bell at TriStar Centennial Children's Hospital to mark her final treatment on Monday, July 28.
A few dozen people lined the hallways as Vivian walked through with her mom and dad.
The CEO of TriStar Centennial, Tom Ozburn, gifted Vivian a blue custom guitar signed by one of her favorite artists — Megan Moroney.
News 2 has been following Vivian's cancer journey since she was first diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoma in November of 2023.
She is now turning her pain into purpose through Vivian's Hope Foundation, where she delivers comfort care bins to children who are also battling serious illness.
On behalf of the News 2 team, we are so proud of you, Vivian! You are a fighter and an inspiration!
