NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a 3-year-old child reportedly shot themselves with an unsecured gun Monday afternoon in The Nations neighborhood.
According to Metro police, officers were sent to the 3400 block of Elizabeth Jordan Street at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Monday, June 30 to respond to a shooting involving a child.
Authorities said the child was taken to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The extent of the three-year-old's injuries remain unknown.
No additional information about the incident was immediately released.
