NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) โ One person was injured Thursday night in a South Nashville shooting.
According to officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department, a man was shot in the leg and is being treated at a local hospital.
The shooting was reported just after 7 p.m. Thursday at 315 Plus Park Blvd.
Preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was the result of an argument over a shoplifting, which led to an altercation a short distance from where the argument occurred, according to authorities.
Metro police officials said the person who shot the gun is claiming self-defense.
The MNPD's non-lethal shooting detectives are on the scene of the shooting.
No further information was released.
