NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people have been charged after a man robbed a Parkwood Estates convenience store at gunpoint late Friday night.
According to court documents, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 31, surveillance video footage captured a man and woman in a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo parked outside of Citgo gas station near Brick Church Pike and Ewing Lane. The car reportedly left the parking lot and returned a short time later with the same two people visible inside.
Reports said the woman was seen moving around in the back seat while the driver-- Jermaine Southern, 27 -- changed clothes and appeared to wait for the store's customers to leave before exiting the car wearing a mask and gloves.
Southern allegedly entered the store and pointed a shotgun at the cashier while demanding money from the cash drawer, and used the gun to threaten another employee to lay on the floor. Reports said he took approximately $300 to $500 in cash and fled in the black Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
Southern and the woman in the vehicle -- identified as Jasmine McKissack, 27 -- were arrested Monday after being identified during an investigation involving related incidents, reports said.
Southern faces seven felony charges, including aggravated robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His bond is set at $225,000.
McKissack was charged with two counts of felony aggravated robbery and booked into Metro jail on a $75,000 bond.
