HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have arrested a man in connection with vehicle burglaries that were recently reported in Hendersonville and Gallatin.
The Hendersonville Police Department said they were alerted about vehicle burglaries at YMCA and Texas Roadhouse on Monday, June 2. Further investigation reportedly revealed that the incident was related to similar crimes that took place at Vol State Community College in Gallatin.
According to officials, 38-year-old Chad Hayes, of Lebanon, was identified as a suspect after Vol State Police provided information from their investigation.
Hayes was later found in Lebanon and allegedly confirmed that he was involved in the vehicle burglaries in Hendersonville and Gallatin.
Hendersonville Police said Hayes was charged with two counts of vehicle burglary, theft of property. The 38-year-old is being held in Sumner County Jail.
Additional charges for credit card fraud and vehicle burglary by Vol State Police and Gallatin Police are reportedly anticipated.
