GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least one person was injured after a home exploded Thursday morning in a Gallatin neighborhood.

The explosion was reported at approximately 10:30 a.m. in a subdivision near Linn Cove Court on Thursday, June 5.

A News 2 crew observed at least one person being transported from the area. However, the extent of their injuries remains unknown.

Several other homes in the area also sustained damage in the incident. A large law enforcement presence was seen in the neighborhood Thursday morning.

"Residents in the immediate area have been evacuated, and there is no danger to the public at this time," said Gallatin police.

It remains unclear what led to the explosion. News 2 has a crew at the scene to learn more.
