ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) -- A man accused of sending explicit text messages was taken into custody by Allen County authorities for promoting human trafficking.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a home on Wednesday, April 30 after a female reported receiving inappropriate texts.
Law enforcement said the investigation revealed Michael Weaver, of Scottsville, was the suspect sending the explicit messages, which "entailed Weaver attempting to solicit the female to procure a minor for forced sexual activity."
According to officials, the 40-year-old was arrested on Friday, May 2 and booked into the Allen County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $15,000 bond for promoting human trafficking with a victim under the age of 18.
No additional details have been released about this case.
