LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A fire at a business in La Vergne, Tennessee, caused a HAZMAT situation Tuesday evening, according to police.
According to the La Vergne Police Department, the fire occurred at a business on the Stones River Road and Murfreesboro Road intersection.

La Vergne firefighters were on the scene and put the fire out as of 8:52 p.m.

According to LVPD, the fire became a HAZMAT situation because there was a motor oil spill.
Local emergency management officials arrived on the scene to assess the situation, police said.
The section of Stones River Road has since reopened. No additional information was immediately released.
