FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A massive project in Franklin is beginning to take shape.
Tonight, city leaders are giving an update on the progress of their new city hall redesign.
Crews began demolition back in May.
Now the building is completely gone, and workers have started demolishing the concrete slab that sat under the building.
Crews are hoping to finish that, along with excavation and shoring, by late summer.
In November and December, the city says they expect to be working on the building's exterior skin, drywall, interior walls, and ceilings.
The city is hoping to put the finishing touches on in February through the end of March.
The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen started their meeting at 5 p.m.
