NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people were injured after shots were fired in Riverfront Park early Sunday morning.
Officials responded to the area of 1st Avenue South just after 3 a.m.
According to Metro Police, a 55-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were at the dog park when four young men approached them. The victims told authorities the suspects attempted to take drugs from them during an altercation before shots were fired.
Both the man and woman were shot and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Officials said their injuries were non-life-threatening.
