MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted for murder in Florida was arrested in Murfreesboro by a U.S. Marshals task force, federal officials announced Friday.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 19-year-old Andrew St. Louis was charged with murder in the first degree, attempted murder in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree with a firearm.
He was wanted in Broward County, Florida, after a warrant for his arrest was issued in the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial District on Sept. 10.
The USMS developed information St. Louis was residing in the Murfreesboro area, prompting the Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force to request the assistance of USMS Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force.
The Middle Tennessee task force located St. Louis at a residence on North Rutherford Road in Murfreesboro, and he was arrested without incident and taken to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office jail. He was booked as a fugitive from justice and will await extradition to Florida.
