Truck crash closes I-40/I-24 in downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A rollover crash has closed the interstates leading into Nashville from the east and south Friday morning.
The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. at the Interstate 40 and I-24 merger at the split in the inner loop that encircles the city.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a tractor-trailer was traveling east when the truck rolled and crashed into the westbound lanes.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the crash. It is not known when the roadway will reopen to traffic.
No additional information was immediately released.
