WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Wilson County Sheriff's Office safely rescued a woman and three children from a barricade situation Friday afternoon, but they are still working to resolve the situation.

Authorities were called to a home in the 300 block of Kimberly Court in Mt. Juliet for a domestic situation at about 2:45 p.m. They arrived to find a barricaded subject, according to Captain Scott Moore with the WCSO.

Moore said the rest of the neighborhood was advised to shelter in place while deputies used multiple resources to come to a peaceful resolution.

"The scene is secure and contained to the residence involved," a social media post from the WCSO reads, in part. "At this time, there is no immediate threat to the surrounding area."

The WCSO said they would provide updates as the updates become available.
