NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Elon Musk's The Boring Company has started the search for workers to take part in constructing the “Music City Loop” project in Nashville.

The company announced Monday on X it would host a hiring event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 to scout engineers, operations coordinators, electricians, welders and mechanics.

The project involves the excavation of an underground tunnel designed for Tesla vehicles to shuttle passenger between the Nashville International Airport and downtown along Murfreesboro Pike.

Top officials have said the project would take about two years to complete. The Boring Company said it plans to begin construction following the completion of the approvals process.
