WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that led to the closure of a road Tuesday afternoon.
Major Walker Woods with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office told News 2 that officers responded to a call in the 5000 block of Benders Ferry Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Benders Ferry Road was closed as a result of the investigation, according to a social media post from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.
Woods added that the call was related to domestic violence incident. Once officers arrived, they established contact with the parties involved.
"After some time, it culminated in an officer-involved shooting," Woods said. "There is no additional threat to the community at this time, and the TBI will be investigating fully."
