DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Smith County man has been charged with attempted second-degree murder following a shooting Saturday night at a Smithville business.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, law enforcement responded to the 3000 block of Sparta Highway after an employee of the business was shot. The victim was flown to a Nashville hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities charged 40-year-old James Barsotti of Pleasant Shade with one count of attempted second-degree murder. He was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
