SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Smyrna Police Department said "an active shooter situation is unfolding."

According to the SPD's Facebook post, the situation is near Lee Victory Parkway at a liquor store.

Officers are on the scene. Smyrna police have asked people to avoid the area and said that updates would be made available.
