Several injured after crash on I-24 in Murfreesboro, officials say

Description

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A crash involving multiple vehicles Monday morning on Interstate 24 near Joe B. Jackson Parkway left several people injured.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. Monday in the westbound lanes of I-24, near mile marker 84.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, one of the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Rutherford County Fire crews responded to extinguish the fire.

RCSO said first responders transported several injured people to Ascension St. Thomas Hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
