NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A runner was injured Saturday in Madison after he was stabbed in an alleged unprovoked attack.
According to court documents, on May 31 around 1 p.m., the man was out for a run near Maple Street and Brawner Avenue when he saw 32-year-old Timothy Castille standing at the intersection. As he got closer, Castille reportedly ran towards him and stabbed him in the neck.
The victim told authorities there was no argument or conversation prior to the stabbing. Court documents said it is believed Castille's only intent was "to critically injure the victim."
Authorities said after the stabbing, Castille was captured on video running from the scene down Brawner Avenue.
The victim was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment. Upon his release from the hospital, he identified Castille as the suspect in a photo lineup.
Castille was charged Tuesday with attempted criminal homicide and booked into Metro jail on a $150,000 bond.
