CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Announced Friday morning, TriStar Health is seeking approval to build a 68-bed hospital in Clarksville.
This is the second full-service hospital announcement in the last several weeks.
TriStar is working to come to the city right after Saint Thomas Ascension said they wanted to build as well.
Both will have to get approval from the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission.
That hearing will take place at the end of July. If it's approved, the facility would be a $286 million investment.
The building would be 213,000 square feet and, along with 68 hospital beds, would provide services like a 12-bed emergency room, a labor and delivery unit, an intensive care unit, and operating rooms.
The hospital would be located on the south side of Tiny Town Road.
The land owner is working to get rezoning approval for the property from residential to commercial.
