MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Some Mt. Juliet residents were briefly asked to stay indoors Sunday night as authorities launched an investigation into a shooting.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department posted on social media platform X shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10 that it was investigating a shooting in the 700 block of Parrish Place. Officials urged residents near that area to remain inside until law enforcement confirmed it was safe.
Then, just after 8:15 p.m., police announced the situation was contained to a property in the 700 block of Parrish Place, adding that the area was safe.
According to MJPD, there is no active search for a suspect, but authorities are still at the scene to investigate the incident.
No additional details have been released about this situation, including whether anyone was injured in the shooting.
