NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Green was the color of the grass when she used to read in Centennial Park but there's a blank space now on the bench installed to honor Nashville's adopted superstar, Taylor Swift.

Alert Swifties noticed this week the plaque to honor Taylor Swift had been pried off her bench in Centennial Park.

The bench was installed by the city of Nashville when superstar returned to Music City for her record-shattering Eras Tour in May 2023. Swifties lined up to take pictures with the bench, which remains a photo opportunity to this day.

A tourist stopped by for a picture when News 2 went to check on the bench Thursday.

Swift was honored with the bench along with a proclamation from the city of Nashville for her homecoming.

The plaque read:

For Taylor Swift
A bench for you to read on at Centennial Park
Welcome home, Nashville

News 2 reached out to Metro Parks to inquire when the plaque was taken and if it will be replaced.

Hopefully the invisible string will bring the plaque back to its home in Centennial Park.
