MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville woman was arrested Thursday night in Mt. Juliet on active warrants dating back to December 2023, according to police.
According to a Mt. Juliet Police Department Facebook post, an officer was patrolling Mt. Juliet Road near Interstate 40 on Thursday night. The officer saw a vehicle's license plate associated with a person wanted out of Nashville.
Police said the officer verified the driver's identity, confirmed the warrants and stopped the vehicle.
The 23-year-old woman driving the vehicle has had warrants for her arrest in Nashville since Dec. 20, 2023, according to the post. The warrants are for two counts of aggravated child abuse involving a child under the age of 8 and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to MJPD, the woman was taken into custody without incident.
