NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Dangerous heat is building in for the weekend and could last well into next week. High temperatures will climb into the low to mid-90s over the weekend, with feels-like temperatures reaching 100+.

We could be close to record highs both Saturday and Sunday.

The reason we are getting so hot is due to high pressure building in and hanging out.

However, when you factor in humidity, the heat indices will climb to 105+ early next week. This could warrant a heat advisory starting on Monday.

This could be a dangerous situation, so be sure to take your heat precautions. Drink plenty of water, take breaks in the air conditioning, and wear light, loose-fitting clothes. Be sure to check on the elderly, kids, and pets too!
