NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A recent study showed Music City is one of the top places to work in the U.S.
"The people, the job, the lifestyle — I think it's all great," said Nick Hubbard, who works in the finance sector in the Nashville area.
A recent report by SmartAsset ranked the country's most desirable job markets, putting Nashville at No. 15 out of a list of 348 U.S. cities. The report used 2023 Census Bureau data and factored in the unemployment rate, median earnings, income growth, remote work opportunities, and more.
"I have a hybrid job, so I'm in the office and at home, but I just love the people. The people are amazing," Chandler Booth told News 2.
The report listed the median earnings for workers in Nashville as $50,304, adding that employees tend to see their income grow by 38.37% over three years.
"I've always been interested in the music/hotel scene…and I work over at Opryland, and so Marriott's a machine of a hotel, and so it's really, really cool to just get to see that whole process," Declan Murray said.
The study also described Nashvillian's median commute time as just under 25 minutes.
"The traffic is tough, but I mean, that's any city, and truthfully, it's really not that bad here in Nashville," Murray added.
Several other Tennessee cities were featured on the list, including Murfreesboro at No. 40 and Clarksville at No. 152.
