NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — About 700,000 Tennesseans are days away from losing their SNAP benefits, putting them at risk of going hungry next month.

But there are places in your neighborhood that are prepared to help if you need food assistance in November.

Saturday, Nov. 1, will see SNAP benefits lapse if the federal government doesn't pass a continuing resolution to keep food assistance programs open.

There are multiple food banks spread out across Davidson County, preparing to see a surge in demand on Saturday.

Donelson/Hermitage/Old Hickory

Radical Heart - 3475 Lebanon Pike

They give out food and clothes on Wednesdays between 6 and 7:30 p.m., as well as a Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on a first come, first served basis. There is a limit on how many families they serve on both days.

Friendship Community Church - 15285 Lebanon Road

This food pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on an on-call basis. You can find more information by visiting AChurchForYou.com or by calling 615-758-5358.

New Hope Baptist Church - 6010 New Hope Road

The food pantry is open on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. For more information, call 615-883-6709 or visit NewHopeHermitage.com.

Hermitage UMC Food Pantry - 4250 Andrew Jackson Pike

The Hermitage United Methodist Church food pantry is open on the first and third Saturday of the month between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information, call 615-883-3918 or visit them online at HUMC.org.

St. Philip's Food Pantry - 85 Fairway Drive

St. Philip's Episcopal Church has a food pantry that is open from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information, visit StPhilipsNashville.org or call 615-883-4945.

Antioch

The Branch of Nashville - 41 Tusculum Road

Food service is offered in Antioch at The Branch of Nashville every Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Appointments are required to book your pickup time. For more information or to book your time slot, visit TheBranchofNashville.org.

Green Hills

Woodmont Baptist Church - 2100 Woodmont Blvd

On Tuesdays, the Woodmont Baptist Church serves food to families in need from 10 a.m. to noon. Each household can come to the food pantry once per month for food and diaper distribution. Diapers are limited to 50 per child.
