Description
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — About 700,000 Tennesseans are days away from losing their SNAP benefits, putting them at risk of going hungry next month.
But there are places in your neighborhood that are prepared to help if you need food assistance in November.
Saturday, Nov. 1, will see SNAP benefits lapse if the federal government doesn't pass a continuing resolution to keep food assistance programs open.
There are multiple food banks spread out across Davidson County, preparing to see a surge in demand on Saturday.
