NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man who spent several weeks on the Metro Nashville Police Department's "Most Wanted" fugitives list in 2024 is now in custody, according to police.
MNPD announced Magic E. Johnson, 37, was apprehended on Tuesday, May 6.
According to arrest affidavits, Johnson's charges stem from a December 2023 incident at a West Nashville apartment complex involving two women.
Arrest records show on Christmas Eve 2024, officers responded to a call of a man outside an apartment waving a gun around and pointing it at the caller.

When they arrived, one victim told police she witnessed the man, identified as Johnson, assault a woman in the parking lot. The caller told police she was putting things in her car when she saw Johnson pulling the woman by her hair and holding her head against a car.
The caller tried to intervene and get the other woman to go into her apartment with her for safety, but Johnson reportedly pulled out a weapon and threatened to shoot her for interfering, saying, 'I'll dome y'all."
Video evidence showed Johnson walking with two children with a handgun in his right hand before threatening the two victims, according to the affidavits. Video surveillance footage also showed Johnson walking away from the scene minutes later with the two children, arrest documents read.
The other victim told police Johnson put both hands around her neck and strangled her but stopped and let her go when the caller intervened. Following that incident, the second victim told police she had soreness at the front of her neck and difficulty swallowing, but said she did not wish to prosecute.
However, police said evidence gave them enough probable cause to charge Johnson with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated assault by strangulation, and one count of being a felon in possession of a handgun.
According to MNPD, Johnson was previously convicted of aggravated robbery, which is a Class B felony in Tennessee.
Davidson County Sheriff's Office records show Johnson is currently jailed on an $80,000 bond.
