COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — News 2 is learning more about a woman's suspicious death in Coffee County.

Allecia Wolfe's body was found near a truck stop off the interstate last week.

News 2 has since learned she was a mother and grandmother from Orlando, Florida.

Now, there are many questions surrounding Wolfe's death.

"I want my mother back, but that isn't going to happen, but who did this to my mom and why?" Aleah Carnley, Wolfe's daughter, said.

Investigators said Wolfe was found dead near the Truckers Inn and Truck Parking off I-24 on July 14.

That is more than 600 miles from her home in Orlando, Florida.

Carnley said she isn't sure how her mother got to Manchester without a car, but she has a theory.

"I think someone picked her up and dumped her," Carnley said. "I don't know if she died here or there."

Carnley said it wasn't unusual for her mom to disappear for a while, but they talked almost every day.

Coffee County District Attorney Craig Northcott said officials haven't ruled anything out.

"We are awaiting the medical examiner's office to complete their work and report the cause of death," Northcott said. "We are treating this as a homicide because there are some circumstances that show that might be the case."

"They didn't see any gunshot wounds or stab wounds, but they can't rule out anything else because of how bad her body was decomposed," Carnley said.

Investigators said they're checking nearby cameras, hoping surveillance video can shed some light on what happened.
