NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with a March shooting outside a South Nashville apartment complex, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
On March 14, police said a woman and a 30-year-old man were in a vehicle outside an apartment complex in the 200 block of Tanglewood Court when another woman — identified Friday as 24-year-old Ritquia Patton — approached and an argument ensued. Shortly after the argument started, three armed men got out of a nearby silver Hummer and opened fire.
The man was critically injured after sustaining gunshot wounds to his head and torso, but he was transported to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center and survived his injuries.
Coreonta Olawumi, 22; Robert Short Jr., 21; and Ronald Short, 21, were charged in connection with the incident last month. The MNPD said that an investigation by detectives with the Non-Lethal Shooting Unit determined that Patton directed them to shoot at the vehicle.
She has been charged with three counts of attempted homicide, false reporting and reckless endangerment. Additionally, she was wanted on an unrelated warrant from an April 9 theft. As of publication, she is in jail on a $1,559,000 bond.
