NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The new champion of the HIP Donelson Halloween decorating contest has been crowned.

A home on Crosswood Court in the Clover Hill area of Donelson took home the grand prize of a $100 gift card, a family four-park of tickets to Madame Tussaud's Nashville, and a coveted HIP D After Dark yard sign.

Each year the HIP Donelson group holds the "HIP D After Dark" decorating competition to see who can concoct the spookiest setup. The 2025 winner was announced Monday, Oct. 27.

From the details, the lighting, to spooky creativity, contest organizers said they had 14 excellent submissions to choose from this year. The number of entries was even more than they typically get for their Christmas decoration competition.

Before picking the winners, a group of judges went around to each home entrant to check out the submissions.

In total, five homes received prizes, according to the group. Other winners included homes on Fisher Drive (first runner-up), Teakwood Drive (second runner-up), Harborwood Circle (third runner-up), and Knobdale Road (fourth runner-up).
