🏈 TITAN UP all season long with the latest news and notes on the Tennessee Titans
Description
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Six weeks into the NFL season, and the losses are piling up for everyone.
It's been an incredible start to the season. Not only are there no unbeatens left, but there are only two teams that have played six games and have just one loss.
Your Week 7 NFL Power Rankings...
32. Tennessee Titans (1-5) - I don't like to joke about people losing their jobs. Brian Callahan is a good man, but that performance in Las Vegas was tough to watch. Was it too soon to make the change? Maybe. But as Bill Parcells always said, "You are what your record says you are," and Brian Callahan was 4-19.
31. New York Jets (0-6) - In a normal world, the Jets would be 32; however bad they were Sunday, at least they were competitive. They had negative yards passing and still scored more points than the Titans.
30. Cleveland Browns (1-5) - At least Myles Garrett got paid.
29. Oakland Raiders (2-4) - Do not be fooled by that win over the Titans. That's not a good team, and they didn't "get right." Ashton Jeanty averaged only 3.3 yards per carry, and Geno Smith threw another pick and was very fortunate to have a strip sack called back.
28. Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) - Joe Flacco does give them some hope, but he doesn't save the season. Now the question is: will he save Zach Taylor's job?
27. Miami Dolphins (1-5) - Yes, the Dolphins are bad, but at least they are competitive. Three of their losses are by six points or less. They just can't stop anyone.
26. New Orleans Saints (1-5) - They have scored over 21 points one time. They won that game. Spencer Rattler has been better than I expected, averaging 200 yards per game and has six touchdowns and just one interception.
25. Arizona Cardinals (2-4) - Four straight losses by a whopping total of nine points.
24. New York Giants (2-4) - Jaxson Dart was fun to watch against the Eagles, not sure how long he will last playing that way, but enjoy it while you can.
23. Baltimore Ravens (1-5) - Without Lamar Jackson, this team is pretty darn bad. Lucky for them, he will be back at some point, but is it already too late?
22. Dallas Cowboys (2-3-1) - No. 1 offense in the NFL at 387 yards per game! And.... No. 32 defense in the NFL at 411 yards per game. Doh!
21. Carolina Panthers (3-3) - Dave Canales is getting it done in Charlotte. I don't know if any of us had this team at 3-3.
20. Houston Texans (2-3) - Their defense is giving up only 12.2 points per game, but here they sit at 2-3. CJ Stroud and company owe the defense an apology.
19. Minnesota Vikings (3-2) - Eagles, Chargers, Lions, Ravens, Packers... They have a gauntlet in front of them, and with shaky play at quarterback, this season could get away from them.
18. Washington Commanders (3-3) - They have played four teams with winning records and are 1-3 against them. It doesn't take much in the NFL to tilt things in the other direction. They are close, but last year they found ways to win.
17. Chicago Bears (3-2) - Three straight wins for the Bears, and you have to be impressed with the job Ben Johnson has done with that Bears offense. Not only is Caleb Williams starting to look like the guy we expected, but that rushing attack was salty Monday night.
16. Atlanta Falcons (3-2) - Impressive win over Josh Allen and the Bills. Bijan Robinson has over 800 total yards and three touchdowns.
15. Los Angeles Chargers (4-2) - After two bad losses, they escaped Miami with 20 second half points. Tuli Tuipulotu has five sacks and seven tackles for loss.
14. San Francisco 49ers (4-2) - Another big performance for Mac Jones, but this time he also had two interceptions.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) - They have lived off of turnovers this year. They were not able to turn over Sam Darnold and Seattle and.... lost.
12. Denver Broncos (4-2) - London may never invite the NFL back after that game, but they did sack Justin Fields nine times. Yes... nine times...
11. New England Patriots (4-2) - Three straight wins, and Drake Maye is playing at a really high level. Maye is averaging almost 250 yards per game in that stretch with five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
10. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) - DK Metkalf with the kind of game we are used to with four catches for 95 yards and a score. More of that, please.
9. Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) - Hard to understand the Eagles right now. They are throwing for more, but scoring less.
8. Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) - The Chiefs show yet again, they are not dead yet.
7. Los Angeles Rams (4-2) - Byron Young is having a monster season with 7.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss.
6. Indianapolis Colts (5-1) - They have scored at least 29 points in all five of their wins. Shane Steichen, Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor are all part of some kind of Vulcan mind meld right now.
5. Green Bay Packers (3-1-1) - Could be the most well balanced team in the league, but will Jordan Love be able to deliver when it counts the most?
4. Seattle Seahawks (4-2) - Continue to be the biggest surprise of the season, and Sam Darnold continues to sizzle. 11 touchdowns and averaging over 250 yards per game and completing over 70% of his passes.
3. Buffalo Bills (4-2) - Josh Allen is like every other quarterback; if you hit him, bad things will happen. The Falcons sacked him four times and picked him off twice.
2. Detroit Lions (4-2) - They caught the Chiefs in their "line in the sand game." Still a lot to like with this team, and I would love to see a Lions-Bucs matchup in the NFC Championship.
1. Tampa Bay Bucs (5-1) - I never thought it would be this difficult to pick a No. 1, but Baker Mayfield keeps on winning. He beat the 49ers without his top four wide receivers. MVP.
