CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two young people have been charged in connection with 42 vehicle burglaries that took place on Sept. 11 and Sept. 12.
In a Monday social media post, Chapel Hill police said each suspect faces 79 charges ranging from vandalism to burglary to felony firearm theft. A third juvenile suspect was also charged with 12 counts of stolen firearm possession and evidence tampering.
Police are withholding the names of the young people who were charged, but Chapel Hill authorities added that they're working to have two of the 17-year-old offenders transferred to adult court in Marshall County.
In addition to the juveniles charged, Chapel Hill police said an adult was charged in Maury County with unlawful possession of stolen firearms and evidence tampering.

The Spring Hill Police Department and the Columbia Police Department assisted Chapel Hill authorities with the investigation.
