Box Truck and Pickup Collide on Tom Austin Highway

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – A box truck and a pickup truck collided on Tom Austin Highway just outside of Springfield Saturday afternoon.

The pickup, which was hauling a trailer, sustained heavy damage in the impact, the first call to 911 coming in at 2:46 p.m.. The box truck literally landed on top of the pickup. The crash occurred on Tom Austin Hwy at Chelsea Dr. LOCATION OF CRASH

After checking with officials, we have no reports that anyone was transported from the scene, and no indication that any of the occupants sustained serious or life-threatening injuries. Somehow, everyone walked away from the crash.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation; however, the cause of the crash was not immediately available.

The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol,  the Coopertown Police Department, and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
