NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Bonnaroo wants to know how attendees would feel about having the festival during other times of the year.
The annual festival, held in June on a farm in Manchester, has issued what it calls a "future dates survey" to fans. The survey comes after the festival experienced its second rain-related cancellation in four years.
Bonnaroo was canceled after one day this year after consistent downpours waterlogged the festival grounds, flooding multiple campsites and trapping campers in mud over their ankles.
Festival owner Live Nation has faced increased scrutiny over its handling of the cancellation, as well as its decision to hold the festival in the first place after Tennessee saw significant rainfall throughout the majority of the spring.
Now, the festival wants to know if attendees would be just as inclined to return to The Farm at a different time of the year.
The five-question survey asks about 2026 attendance, as well as if fans would still attend if the festival was held every other year, later in the summer, or in late September/early October. If the festival was held in the fall, the survey asks what challenges would affect attendance.
"Bonnaroovians, we've started to plan for the future of Roo & we want to hear from you," the festival said in an email sent to attendees and posted to social media channels.
"We want you to be a part of this process, so we'll keep you posted on any updates and likely ask you to weigh in on more considerations in the coming months," the festival said.
